The Clinical Analysis On Acupoint Catgut Embedding Of Simple Obesity

Obesity is one kind of chronic and metabolic disease, which not only damage the physiosychic healty of the patients, but also decline the quality of life and shorten the expected life-span. In the recent 20 years, the rate of the onset in obesity is significantly increased. Acoording to the analysis chart of data collecation in 1960' s, it revealed that chinese adult of overweight and obesity patient were accounted for 24.4 and 3.01% respectively. The figure had indicated the fact that obesity has already become one major problems of healthy.There are rarities of treatment for the obesity, such as western medication, operation, acupuncture, Chinese traditional medicine, and massage. According to the report of recent years' literature, Chinese medicine, especially the acupuncture showed the better effect and few side reaction in treating obsity; Western medication could be well to definite target, but compained with some side reaction and the effect is not so significant; Operation has the obvious result, but with higt risk in the process, even with seriously dangerous pest operative reaction. As the conclusion, compared with modern medicine, acupuncture has the unchallengable advantage in treating obesity.By studying the literatures about the acupuncture treatment for simple obesity, we discovered the following shortages:1) The evaluation of the curative effect is not sufficient2) The majority of clinic researches not only lack standarized design and decent sample scale, but also fail to proceeding the random comparison research, which caused its experimental result being less reliability. By using the latest reaserch methodology, clinic epidemics and data statistics, this research work aimed to combine traditional medicine with modern research method, so as to reach the following targets: 1) Research the method of the acupuncture treatment for simple obesity2) Constructure clinic curative effect system with multiple idex3) Search a scenario of pure adiposity treatment with standarized and non-side-effect.Objective To: Analyse the treatment of acupoint catgut embedding on simple obesity.Methods: By using preceding random comparision experiment and adopting 60 cases of adiposity patients as research object, we randomly.divide them into two groups namely experiment group (acupoint catgut embedding group) and comparision group (acupuncture group) , with 30 cases in each group respectively. We observed the multiple idex of each patient, such as orexis, weight, BMI, the circumferences of chest, lumbar, hip, arm, crus and thigh, and the experimental indiceswere listed as follows: the fasting blood-glucose(FBG), total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), high-density lipeprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and insulin. Then using the statistics method to analyse, for reaching the conclusion of the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment on simple obesity by acupoint catgut embedding.Results:1) By acquiring acupuncture treatment for simple obesity by acupoint catgut embedding, the consequence after the 1st course of treatment, 12 cases(43.3%) were remarkably improved, 11(36.7%) improved, and(20.0%) ineffective. The totle effective rate was 80.0%. After the 2nd course of treatment, 16 cases(53.3%) were remarkably improved, 11(36.7%) improved, and 3(10.0%) ineffective. The totle effective rate was 90.0%. After the 3rd course of treatment, 20 cases(66.7%) were remarkably improve, 8(26.6%) improve, and 2(6.7%) ineffective. The totle effective rate was 93.3%.2) By acquiring acupuncture treatment for simple obesity by acupoint catgut embedding, the weight, BMI, and the circumferences of chest, Lumbar, hip, arm, crus and thigh of simple obesity patients was significantly reduced.3) By acquiring acupuncture treatment for simple obesity by aeupoint catgut embedding, the level of Fins, IR and orexis of simple obesity patients was effectively decreasing.4) For simple obesity patients, Fins,IR and BMI,kummerbund was reported positive correlativity, while FBG and kummerbund also found out to have the same trend. Conclusuion: Acupoint catgut embedding is a new , simple, effective and non-side-effect way in acupuncture therapy, lt is simpler than acupuncture, and spend less time in treating procedure but could maintain longer. Compare to body acupuncture, it was equilly eutherapeutic to simple obesity but more eutherapeutic in inhibiting orexis.
