Backgroud: Stoke is one of diseases threating person's health seriously, and Spastic paralysis of stroke is the primary obstcle in recovery of stroke patient's limb function. More and more domestic and overseas scholars attach importance to enhancing the level of therapy and life quality of spastic paralysis patients.Objective: According to prospective clinical research to observe the influence of the balance of yin and yang in acupuncture for the treatment of spasticity for stroke patients.Method: The research is performed on 60 patients who come from the acupuncture room in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. We divided the 60 cases into the balance of yin and yang group as the threrapy group and the traditional-acupuncture group as the comparison group randomly. There are 30 cases in each group. All the patients were treated once a day, five days a week, treated for two weeks continuously, two week as a period of treatment. We evaluate every case according to the following items before the treatment and after the first,the second period of treatment: (1) Ashworth Spasticity Scale and Clinical Spasticity Index assess spasticity. (2) Ability of daily life.(3) Neuronal damage degree assess neuronal function. Result:(1) Spasticity of two group both is improved. After the first course, the therapy group has a total effective rate of 73.3ï¼…, and 7 cases are significant improved, 12 cases are improve in effect, 3 cases are improved, 8 cases have no effect. The other group has a total effective rate of 70.0ï¼…, and 5 cases are significant improved, 11 cases are improved in effect, 5 cases are improved, 9 cases have no effect. The effect of two groups has no difference. After the second course, the therapy group has a total effective rate of 86.7ï¼…, and 10 cases are significant improved, 14 cases are improved in effect, 2 cases are improved, 4 cases have no effect. The other group has a total effective rate of 73.3ï¼…, and 5 cases are significant improved, 11 cases are improved in effect, 6 cases are improved, 8 cases have no effect. The effect of two groups has significant difference.(2) The spasticity of two group is improved, two groups has no difference in spasticity index(CSI) after the first course, the effect of the threrapy group is better than the comparison group after the second course.(3) The ability daily life of two groups both is promoted, they have no difference in ability daily life after the first course, the effect of the therapy group is better than the comparison group after the second course.(4) Neuronal function of two groups both is improved, they have no difference in Neuronal damage improve degree.Conclusion: The balance of yin and yang in acupuncture therapy can alleviate spasticity, improve the ability of daily life, and promote the recovery of neuronal function.
