Objective: To investigate and compare the expression of Rb and P53 in between lung cancer and nomal lung tissue,to examine the relationship between RB and P53 in lung cancer and to investigate the clinical significant of them.Methods: 47 examples of lung cancer pathological specimen and 10 examples of tissues adjacent to carcinom were taken out in 3, 2005 till the period in 3, 2006. including adenocarcinoma of lung 27 cases, SC 15 cases, small cell lung cancer 3 cases, large cell lung cancer 2 cases , NSCLC without lymph node metastasis 22 cases ,NSCLC with lymph node metastasis 22 cases, we determined the expression of Rb and P53 in them using immunohisochemical by SP kit.Results:Rb positive expression rate was 47%(21/44) in NSCLC, Rb negative expression rate was 53%.In normal lung tissue Rb negative expression was 10%(l/10), Rb negative expression in NSCLC was significantly higher than in normal lung tissue(P=0.038).There has no difference between SC and andenocarcinoma of lung(P=0.061).P53 positive expression was 64% in NSCLC,in nomal lung tissue it was 20%.There was significant deference between them(P=0.005).Compared Sc with andenocarcinoma of lung P53 positive expression has no deference(P=0.36). Both Rb negative expression and P53 positive expression have no relationship with age and sex. But P53 positive expression in lung cancer with lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than those without lymph node metastasis. There has no correlation between negative expression of RB and positive expression of P53(P=0.148)in non-small cell lung cancer. While Rb negative expression together with P53 positive expression was significantly deference between the lung cancer with lymph noder metastasisy and the lung cancer without lymph node metastasis (p=0.03). The lung cancer with lymph node metastasis has higher Rb negative expression together with P53 positive expression.Conclusion:The mutation of Rb and P53 can induce non-small cell lung cancer.RB negative expresion and P53 positive expression have no correlation in non-small cell lung cancer,and there actions may be have no correlation.But The non-small cell lung cancer which have both Rb negative expression and P53 positive expression may be have higher growth and invasion ability than others.
