Study On The Chemical Constituents Of Cortex Juglans Mandshuricae

Juglans Mandshurica Maxim., a plant widely distributed in the north of China,which belongs to Juglandaceae family. Cortex Juglans Mandshuricae is the outside fruit peel of immaturity the walnut , its pharmacology function is various. It is available in curing cancer. But the report way concerning its valid composition and the chemistry composition is few. On the basis of the summary of their chemistry and pharmacology, we have taken a further study in chemical consituents of Cortex Juglandis Mandshuricae.This text studies to withdraw the way to the Juglans and identifies chemical constituents. In the experiment, Cortex Juglans Mandshuricae has been extracted in 95% alcohol, and then used CHCl₃ extract it. Carry on the separation with the methods, such as AB-8 macroporous resin and silca gel, 5 constituents were isolated. On the basis of physico-chemical properties and Spectroscopic analysis, the 5 constituents were identified as nonacosyl alcohol,hentriacontanol alcohol,dotriacontane alcohol,β-sitosterol,glucose.Among them, hentriacontanol alcohol and dotriacontane alcohol were isolated from Cortex Juglans Mandshuricae for the first time.The result of this experiment will clarify chemical constituents of Cortex Juglandis Mandshuricae and provide scientific foundation for promoting research of Cortex Juglandis Mandshuricae.
