| Objiective To study expression and significance of the p19 tumor suppressor in human testicular germ-cell tumours.Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of p19 in 31cases of the human testicular cancer tissue and 20 cases of the hunan normal testicle tissue. Statistics was used to analyse the data.Results There is no positive expression of p19 in human testicular cancer tissue, while the positive expression rate of pl9 in normal testicle tissue was 95.5%,with significant difference between the human testicular cancer tissue and normal testicle tissue.(P<0.01).Conclutions Lacking expression of p19 in the human testicular cancer tissue may be related to testicular cancer.
