To discuss the expressions of S100A4 protein and E-cad in renal RCCC and thesignificance.Materials and MethodsSelect 50 specimen of RCCC as experimental group and 10 specimen of normalnephridial tissue as control group. The experimental groups are all primary RCCC ofsurgical excision. The experimental groups have not radiotherapy, chemotherapy andhormone therapy before operation. The age includes between 15 to 85.The average ageis 51.28.The metastasis RCCC specimen are 11 and the non-metastasis specimen are 39.The 10 specimen of normal nephridial tissue of control group are ablate kidney becauseof ureteral TCC and they are confirmed that they have not tumor cells after pathologicaldiagnosis. All the specimen process formalin fixation and mineral wax embedment. Theclinic-pathological informations are procured though reviewing the case file record andpathological report. Expressions of S100A4 protein and E-cad in RCCC were detectedby using immunohistochemistry SP method. Correlation between the expressions andclinicopathological features was analyzed by drawing table and progressing chi squaretest of SPSS software. Besides, we analyze whether S100A4 protein and E-cad existcorrelation or not.ResultsThe expression of S100A4 protein is negative in normal nephridial tissue and theexpression of E-cadherin is positive in it. Expressions of both S100A4 protein andE-cadherin in RCCC and normal nephridial tissue have significant difference. The expression rates of S100A4 protein in histologicalgrade 1, 2 and 3 of RCCC are34.78%, 72.22%and 88.89%. The expression rates in negative and positive lymphmode metastasis groups are 90.91%and 48.72%.And the expression rates in tumor sizeexceeding 3cm and less than or equal 3cm groups are 70.97%and 36.84%. Theexpression rates of E-cad in histologicalgrade 1, 2 and 3 of RCCC are 56.52%, 27.78%and 11.11%. The expression rates in negative and positive lymph mode metastasisgroups are 11.11%and 46.15%. And the expression rates in tumor size exceeding 3cmand less than or equal 3cm groups are 22.58%and 63.16%. The expression of E-caddecreases while the expression of S100A4 protein rises. Like more, the expression ofE-cad rises while the expression of S 100A4 protein decreases.ConclusionsExpression of S100A4 protein and loss of E-cad expression are significantlyassociated with tumor progression in RCCC, which are valuable markers predictingbiological behavior and trend of metastasis of RCCC. Expressions of S100A4 proteinand E-cad have correlation with histologicalgrade, lymphnodemetastasis and tumor size(P<0.05). And they have not correlation with sex, age and T stage (P>0.05).Theexpression of S100A4 protein and the expression of E-cad in RCCC are intimaterelation. They perhaps affect the occurrence, devolopment and metastasis of RCCCtogether.
