Background and objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Jing Kang Yin on nerve- root cervical spondylosis, and the influence on serum cytokine IL-10 and intercellular adhesion molecule-1.Methods: 152 patients with cervical spondylosis neuiodynia were selected and randomly divided into two groups: treatment group with Jing kang Yin (87 cases) and control group with Jingfukang(65 cases). Pain degrees(VAS methods) were compared before and after treatment to observe the clinical effect and the security is observed. Hemorheological indexes, serum cytokine IL-10 and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 were observed before and after treatment and reflect objectively therapeutic mechanism.Results: (1) Pain scores of two groups were both lower after treatment than prior treatment (P<0.01), but there was a significant difference in the pain scores with post-treatment and pretreatment between two groups (P<0.05),the relief of the pain degree of treatment group is superior to control group. (2) Comparing the two groups ' s clinical effect, The differences of clinical cure rate and effective rate between two groups were positive(P<0.05), treatment group is superior to control group.
