Studies Of Swing Shouder Curative Effect To Fracture Of Humeral Surgical Neck

Objective: To search for a reasonable way to treat the fracture of humeral surgical neck, thereby reduce the probability of shoulder arthritis and resume shoulder function furthest.Methods: The part of literature study systematically expatiate the relative anatomy of shoulder, incidence, risk and pathogenesis of fracture of humeral surgical neck. This part also systematically retrospects the diagnosis, classification and several treatment measures at home or abroad. In the part of clinical study, from 2004 to 2005, 40 patients were divided into 2 groups. Treatment group include 20 patients were treated by way of swing shoulder, while control group include the other 20 patients were treated by splint.Results: Via literature study, we summarize that swing shoulder is a reasonable way to treat the fracture of humeral surgical neck. By clinical study, we confirm that swing shoulder can get the same steady effect as traditional fixation. Earlier exercise after fracture can facilitate concrescence of fracture and accelerate parenchyma heals, also can resume shoulder function better. According to grade standard of shoulder function instituted by JOA, we found that the patients' shoulder function treated by swing shoulder were better than those treated by splint fixation.Conclusion: Swing shoulder can resume shoulder function more quickly and efficiently prevent shoulder arthritis. In conclusion swing shoulder is a better way to treat the fracture of humeral surgical neck.
