Objective: To observe the effect of QUYUJIEDU(QYJD) therapy on endometriosis and to investigate its mechanism. Method: Clinical study: 61 endometriosis patients were randomly divided into two groups:31 patients treated with QYJD (QYJD group) and the others treated with Gestrinone (Gestrinone group). In addition, 30 healthy women was selected as control group. The clinical symptom, physical sign, development of immunity and endocrinology, side effects and pregnancy rate were observed before and after the treatment. Experimental study: the group dividing was identical to clinical study: QYJD group (26 cases), Gestrinone group (24 cases)and the control group(20 cases).By immuno- histochemistry methods, the expression of VEGF and Ki-67 in eutopic endometrium of secretory phase was detected in the three groups before treatment, and the VEGF was compared between QYJD group and Gestrinone group after treatment. Result: QYJD can efficiently improve the stasis toxin symptom(irregular menstruation, fever associated with menstruation, etc) and physical sign, decrease the positive expression of AEMAb, rectify endocrinology dysfunction, raise pregnancy rate and reduce side effects. In experimental study, the expression of VEGF and Ki-67 of endometriosis patients is significantly higher than that of healthy people. However, the expression of VEGF in both QYJD group and Gestrinone group significantly decreases after treatment. Conclusion: QYJD is effective in treating endometriosis. It can rectify the immunity dysfunction and decrease the expression of VEGF in eutopic endomtrium,so as to inhibit the formation of ectopic endometrium.
