The Epidemiologic Study Of Metabolic Syndrome Of The Economic And Prosperous Region In Jiangsu

Objective To describe distribution of metabolic syndrome of the economic and prosperous region in Jiangsu and to analysis the dangerous factor of the region's MS of influence of characteristics. Methods We adopted method of many-stage sample drawing, and took Suzhou as the study spot, and totally investigated 4064 people (age over 35), and collected the waistline, blood pressure, blood sugar , blood fat and other indexes. Results MS prevalence of the 35 years old and above residents in that region is 11.66%, and standardization prevalence was 11.21%. Female prevalence was higher than male and along with the age of go up .The prevalence of gently physical strength occupation was higher than heavy physical strength occupation. Among combinations of five clinical compositions, the three compositions was commonest. Among them ,the combination of high waistline, high triglyeride and high blood pressure was higher, occupying to 27.73%. The result of multiple factor logistic regression analysis showed that sex, age, marriage, occupation kind, diabetes family history and hypertension family history related with MS.At the same time, diabetes family history related with blood sugar , waistline and other compositions. Occupation physical strength related with waistline. Conclusion The prevalence of metabolic syndrome of the economic and prosperous region in Jiangsu was higher, and we should pay attention to the MS prevention and cure work.
