Objective: In order to achieve the purpose of early diagnosis and early intervention of the impairment of the kidney in the patients of HSP and also to provide theoretic and practical evidence for long term follow-up, we observed the change of the serum Cystatin C to get the message of the impairment of the kidney.Method: 33 children with HSP were enrolled in patient group, and 31 children with upper respiratory tract infection were enrolled in control group. In 33 children with HSP, we collected blood specimens before and 10 days after treatment. Serum Cys-C was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Plasma D—dimer was measured by gold standard double antibody sandwich method. Serum urea nitrogen (BUN) was evaluated by urea enzyme ultraviolet method. Serum creatinine (Scr) was determined by trinitrophenal method. Urine routine was measured by urine analysator and urine flow cytometry.
