Objective The common diseases of the farmers over 60 years in HongJia street were researched, so that we could provide the reference opinion of prevention and control of chronic non-communicable diseases. Methods We performed a cross-sectional analysis on the data of the local health examination of more than 20000 farmers over 60 years from 2006 to 2013,including blood test results, urine test results, ECG results, B-mode ultrasound of liver and gallbladder, and the prevalence of metabolic syndrome The data was analyzed by software SPSS22.0 and SAS9.3, and α= 0.05 was taken for significance test level. Results 1.The decrement rate of RBC and Hb in male was significantly higher than in female, nevertheless, the increase rate of RBC,PLT and Hb in female was significantly higher than in male.2. In general, routine urine test results in 6496 participants were abnormal, accounting for 91.95% of the total participants, and 2471 of them were male and 4025 of them were female. The detection rate of abnormity of red blood cell, white blood cell and urine protein was higher.3.The abnormal rate of electrocardiogram (ECG) in male was higher than in female(Male:Female=1.14:1).The top five incidence of abnormal ECG in male were incomplete right bundle branch block, ST-T change, atrial premature beats, ventricular premature beat, and complete right bundle branch block, respectively. However, the top five incidence of abnormal ECG in female were left anterior branch block, myocardial ischemia, sinus bradycardia, ST-T change, electrical axis left, respectively.21725 participants accepted abdominal ultrasound examination,and9534 of them were diagnosed as hepatobiliary system diseases (detection rate:43.9%). The top five diseases were fatty liver, cholelithiasis, liver cyst, hepatolithiasis, and gallbladder polyps. The overall prevalence rates of MS were 19.44%,29.02% and 17.41% based on CDS, IDF and ATPⅢ diagnostic criterion, respectively.Central obesity ratios of diagnosed MS cases were 46.43% and 17.59% according to IDF and ATPIII criteria, respectively, however, the overweight ratio according to CDS criterion was 28.04%. Elevated serum triglycerides ratio was the same (31.96%). Hypertension proportion according to CDS criterion was 51.70%, and according to IDF and ATPIII criteria was 58.57%. The ratios of cases with blood glucose increase according to CDS and ATPIII criteria was 56.16%, and according to IDF criterion was 76.34%.Conclusion 1.According to the results of blood routine, the difference of the elderly and the young was apparent, meanwhile, the difference of the elderly male and the elderly female was also evident. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate suitable blood routine diagnostic criteria for the elderly and strengthen health education of the elderly.2.The results of urine routine showed that the positive rates of urinary occult blood, white blood cells and urine nitrite in female were significantly higher than in male, while the positive rates of urinary protein, urobilinogen and glucose in male were significantly higher than in female. These indicated that the incidence of women urinary infection was higher than men. The increase of white blood cells and red blood cells in older men was also a matter of concern.3. Left anterior branch block, myocardial ischemia, ST-T change, sinus bradycardia, and electrical axis left were common in old people, which were closely related to habitus, age, myocardial functional state of degradation, and the function of electrical impulses in pathway, etc. The elderly often suffer from cardiovascular diseases, such as high blood pressure, pulmonary heart disease, which is another important reason. As a consequence, prevention of risk factors is the key to prevent coronary heart disease, including prevention and treatment of hypertension, hyperlipaemia and hyperglycemia from adolescence.4.With the region turned to the administrative center of taizhou from rural, farmers’ living standards, lifestyle and eating habits have changed. For this reason, the detection rate of fatty liver was high by abdominal B ultrasonic examination. The prevalence of fatty liver and gall bladder calculi in female were higher than in male, which seemed to correlate with estrogen levels and low density lipoprotein receptor activity declines, in addition which correlated with cholesterol in the blood plasma rises and the deposition in the liver in older women.5.That the participants in our study conducted health examination more regularly and were more concerned about their health status may result in the higher prevalence of the MS. A growing change in society’s lifestyle, with the incorporation of western habits and environmental pollution may also lead to increase of metabolic diseases. Nevertheless, greater concern and vigorous intervention are required, especially in older people. Clinically, we can screen for the components of MS in older people energetically. Comparisons of consistence of MS incidence rate of HongJia population by the three criteria showed that for total and/or male participants, consistence rate and Kappa value between ATP Ⅲ criterion and IDF criterion were the highest, indicating that ATPⅢ criterion and IDF criterion had a better consistence. It is suggested that ATP Ⅲ criterion and IDF criterion are relatively more suitable for HongJia populations...
