Objective The expression of FACL4 and HSF1 were evaluated in the primary hepatic carcinoma and its adjacent liver tissues, and their relationship with the clinical features and pathological characteristics of the primary hepatic carcinoma were analyzed. Methods The samples were obtained from 40 patients with primary hepatic carcinoma. The mRNA expression of FACL4 and HSF1 in primary hepatic carcinoma and its adjacent liver tissues were detected by RT-PCR. The expression of FACL4 and HSF1 were analyzed in the primary hepatic carcinoma compared with its adjacent liver tissues. We also analysed their relationship with the clinical features and pathological characteristics of the primary hepatic carcinoma. Results The expression of HSF1 mRNA and FACL4 mRNA in primary hepatic carcinoma were significantly higher than that in its adjacent liver tissues(P<0.01). The expression of HSF1 mRNA and FACL4 mRNA were not associated with the patient's gender, age, tumor size, pathologic grade, pathologic type, as well as level of serum AFP(P>0.05).Conclusions 1.The mRNA expression of HSF1 and FACL4 in the primary hepatic carcinoma were significantly higher than that in its adjacent liver tissues. Both were involved in the primary hepatic carcinoma...
