Objective: To summarize and explore the diagnosis and surgical treatment of benign liver tumors.Methods: 31 patients with benign liver tumors from January 2002 to April 2006 were analysed retrospectively in first hospital attached DaLian medical university , including 1 male, 20 female; 9 lesions in right lobe, 22 lesions in left lobe; 26 patients treated with operation, 5 patients without it. All of the patients were checked with biochemistry liver function, CT, and only 14 patients detected with MRI.Results: Postoperative biopsy results confirmed: the lesions included 18 cases of hemangioma, 6 cases of inflammatory granuloma, 4 cases of hepatic nodular hyperplasia, 2 cases of hepatic angiomyolipoma , 1 case of hepatocellular adenoma. The operation recovery rate was 100%, 1 case of incisive infection, 2 cases complicated with infections of lung , without pleural effusion and liver function failure. 5 cases of conservative treatment.Conclusion : Benign liver tumors are lack of typical symptoms and special detections. Liver resection is safe and effective for benign liver tumors, esp, comparatively bulk or suspective canceration.
