Cell growth regulating factor include three types factors: cyclins, cycle-dependent kinases and cycle-dependent kinases inhibitors. The progress of cell cycle from G1 to M have many checkpoints, while G1 to S stage is the most important checkpoint, because it's a rate limiting stage, and this stage decide the length of cell cycle.
