Objective To master the current situation of the health inspection team of Yuncheng city, so that allocating rationally the health resources and strengthening team building.Methods 1,Investigation methods: National statutory forms and made investigation forms were utilized. surveys included insider interviews, focus group interviews, the selected subjects discussions and so on; quantitative and qualitative indexes were combined.2,analysis methods: They were statistically described that were the sanitation supervision agency personnel, the workload, the input of funds, the capita construction situation; Synthesis and evaluation methods were utilized for sanitation supervisory personnel by analyzing the sanitation supervision work attitudes, awareness, training needs, job satisfaction and stability, the current sanitation supervision comments and suggestions.Results 1,City and six county health inspection agency had restructured by the end of 2004 and accounted for 50% of all . Among the 951 members in the health inspection staff in the whole city, 302 members had restructured, 25.24% had middle and high titles of technical posts, 75.92% were 30~50 years old, 53.63% were professional sanitation and medicine staff. 2,Branches might be established according to the s health inspection system to strengthen the health inspection and the members could be added 40%. The qualitative study indicated that preparation methods and formula (Sanitation supervisors agency personnel preparation criteria) were suitable to Yuncheng city. 3,The local financial input of all levels health inspection agency was 9502 Yuan every person and accounted for 49.4% of expenditures. Only three sanitation supervision agency of seven had the office property and the per capita area was less than 10m2. They were very poor including vehicles, evidence equipment, on-site rapid detection equipment and office equipment.4,Sanitation supervision functions did not include the supervision of medical institutions and medical practitioners. Branches had been tried to set up in the township. 5,Inadequate funding and inappropriate working relationship was major influence problem. 6,The leader of restructured health inspection agency was young and talented. Among of the leader, 88% were male, the average age was 43.4 years, all were secondary educational background, 92% were professional sanitation staff, 80% had middle and high titles of technical posts, 60% had in sanitation monitoring above five years, all were skilled for sanitation monitoring .7,Health inspection personnel had a correct understanding of supervision. More than half of the people thought that they should constantly improve themselves, but lack of training at present.
