Objective : To study bladder pathophysiological mechanism in pat ients with paediatric primary nocturnal enuresis (PNE).Materials and Methods: 33 boys and 12 girls diagnosised PNE a ccording to standardization of ICCS (1998), age from 5 to 16 years, m edianage 10.42±3.01 years. The symptoms lasted from 6 months to 8.3 years. The frequence occurs from 3 to 12 times every week. Accordin gto there was daytime symptoms or not, 45 cases was divided into tw o,groups: MPE(monosymptom enuresis) and CPE(complicated enuresis). Therewere not statistically diferences in the age and sex between the t wo groups(P>0.05)., Then 7 days frequency-voiding diary recorded. All patients must produce preliminary examination included urinalysis, ultras onic of urinary system, x-ray of spinal, uroflowmetry to rule out abnor mal anatomical structure. At the 8th day, urodynamics examination were operated. Evaluation indexes were as follows. The frist was to record d etrusor pressure, abdominal pressure, intravesical pressure, urethral press ure and EMG study of pelvic floor reflexes, and calculated bladder co mpliance (BC) according to the value between beginning of infusion an d before voiding. The second was to assess detrusor instabili(DI) durin g filling phase. The third was to analysis of detrusor-sphincter coordina tion during filling and voiding phase. The fourth was to evaluate functi onal bladder capacity from frequency-voiding diary. After urodynamic t...
