Objective: To observe the expression and distribution of AP-2 and C-erbB-2 in the human gliomas and investigate their correlations with clinicopathological features of glioma and explore the significance. Methods: Applying ElivisionTM Plus immunohistochemical technique , weperformed examination and statistical research on the expression of AP-2 and C-erbB-2 in 58 cases of human glioma and 5 cases of normal brain tissue. The 58 cases of glioma were graded according to World Health Organization (WHO) 2000 criteria, including grade Ⅰ 5 cases, grade Ⅱ 11 cases, grade Ⅲ 21 cases, grade Ⅳ 21 cases. 5 cases normal brain tissue which were derived from internal decompression of cranial injury patients were used as positive control. 40 high power and 5 fields were selected randomly, then the percentage of positive cells was calculated and named as AP-2 or C-erbB-2 label index (LI) respectively.Result: The AP-2 LI was 34.07 ± 10. 52,62.17 ± 32. 69,44.81 ± 23.37, 32. 35± 12.02, 22. 04 ± 8. 74 in normal brain, grade Ⅰ , grade Ⅱ, grade Ⅲ, grade Ⅳ glioma respectively. The positive percentage of AP-2 was lower in grade Ⅳ than other grade glioma .which was statistical significance (P< 0.05) .There was significant difference of the AP-2 expression between lower grade(Ⅰ~Ⅱ) and higher grade glioma (Ⅲ~Ⅳ) (P<0. 05) .The expression of C-erbB-2 was negative in normal brain tissue , but positive in every grade glioma. The C-erbB-2 LI was 13. 25 ± 9. 88, 35. 20 ± 23.12, 35.87 ±...
