Objective: To investigate the relationship between lumbosacral transitional vertebra and the lumbar disic herniation. Methods: Compare the incidence of lumbosacral transitional vertebra between the control group and the group with lumbar disic herniation, compare the difference between the group with lumbosacral transitional vertebra and the group no lumbosacral transitional vertebra in spine revolve and scoliosis, analysis the relationship between lumbosacral transitional vertebra and intercrestal line and the position of disic herniation. Results: The incidence of lumbosacral transitional vertebra between the group with lumbar disic herniation and the control one has significant difference. In the group of lumbar disic herniation with the transitional vertebra, the lumbar disic herniation most occur at the upper one disc of the transitional vertebra, And the incidence of spine revolve and scoliosis of lumbar disic herniation group between the transitional vertebra and the normal has significant difference, The intercrestal line tend to lower in the type II.Conclusion: There is a closer relationship between lumbosacral transitional vertebra and the lumbar disic herniation. The lumbosacral transitional vertebra can influence the stability of low back in many ways, and the lumbosacral transitional vertebra can alter the biomechanics of weight transfer at the affected spinal segment. So we can believe that lumbosacral transitional vertebra is one of the important factors in the emergence of lumbar disc herniation.
