The composite resin inlays that had been secondary cured have the improvement in physical-mechanical properties, wear resistance, marginal integrity, degree of conversion and so on. There was little research in the teeth fracture of different cured resin composite. The purpose of this study was to compare the teeth fracture resistance of different cured resin inlays with other materials and different sizes of the indirect resin inlays and onlays.Part I Set-up FEA model of maxillary premolar Objective: To establish 3D solid and finite element model of maxillary premolar.Method: By means of modified slice technique, the original photographic data of the tooth were taken. Then Rhinoceros software was used to set up the 3-D solid model of the maxillary premolar and the corresponding FE model in Patran2004.Results: A precise 3-D solid and finite element model of maxillary premolar was constructed, which including enamel, dentine, pulp chamber and periodontium. Conclusion: Clear section pictures that help to discern tooth structure were obtained by using modified slice technique which has been improved in...
