The Influence Of Paediatric Leukemia To The Mother's Quality Of Life

Objective :Aim is to study paediatric leukemia's influence to the mother's quality of life.Methods: Objects We have randomly drawn out 44 cases of mothers of leukemia children (children ,male - 30 cases, female - 14 cases, average age=8.66±3.12 yr;mothers, average age=34.91±4.38yr), during December 2005 to March 2006 in Haematological Ward of No. 2 Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University). Meanwhile 44 cases of normal children's mothers with suited genders, ages and growing-up environments, are taken as the comparison group. Methods We have investigated with general questionnaire, General Quality of Life Interview (GQOLI-74), Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90), the PTSD Checklist--Civilian Version (PCL-C). Data is input in the computer database, SPSS12.0 software package for statistic analysis is used to do Sample't'Test, other methods used are Spearman relative analysis and multiple Linear Regressive analysis.Results:1.Research on psychological status of leukemia children's mothers There are significant differences between leukemia children's mothers and comparison group for 15 factors and 4 dimensions and total score of GQOLI-74(P<0.05).2.Comparison in leukemia children's mothers'QOL, on the basis of different social supporting system There are significant differences between mothers of leukemia children's fathers having work and having no work for esteem and social function of GQOLI-74(P<0.05).
