Objective: Aim is to investigate the difference of mental and social factors and the way of being brought up between the asthmatic children and the normal children. We also want to investigate how the state of illness effects the personality development and parental cultural pattern for asthmatic children,and the correlation with the personality development and parental cultural pattern.Methods: Object: We collected 30 asthmatic outpatient cases as observed group from Asthma Clinic and 30 cases of non-asthmatic children from Health Care Department of Dalian Children's Hospital during Oct 2005 to April 2006. Some factors are matched with Asthma group that are age, sex, educational level, parent's educational level and family income. We investigated to they psychological states with Eysenck's personality Questionaire (EPQ), and'Egma Minnen av Bardndosnaupp for stran (EMBU)'.Statistic analysis: We have analysed with SPSS12.0 version, and take with one sample t test, Chi-square, Logistic analysis and Spearman correlation analysis.Results:1.There are no significant difference (p>0.05) in age, sex, educational level, parent's educational level and family income between the two groups.2.Eysenck's personality Questionaire (EPQ): Compared with the control group, the N score, E score and L score of the asthmatic group are all have significant difference(p<0.01).3.Egma Minnen av Bardndosnaupp for stran (EMBU): Father's emotion warmth or sympathy, preference to the subject, overprotection of asthmatic children group is more significant than normal control group (p<0.05).
