| ObjeciveAlong with the elevation of living standard, the morbility of gout increases year by year. In the recent years the morbility is young to turn. It is about 3% and corresponds to the cancerous incidence. Gout had been a potential threaten to human healthy. Tongfengding capsule made by Sichuan province zhonghui produce medicine limited company. It is the earlest Chinsese formulated products to cure gout.Simiaosan is a empirical formula to cure gout.It was aplplied to cure gout frequently and can get good effect every time. The study objective is to investigate the clinic and side effect of simiaosan jiawei combined with tongfengding capsule in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis and to seek a safe and valid program for gout. MethodsThe 80 patients whose consistent with internalize standard were divided into two groups randomly. The treament group was treated by simiaosan jiawei and tongfengding capsule. The control group was treated by Nimesulide. Then referred to 《New Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinical Study Direction Principle》 and made observation table according to its grade of gouty symptoms and physical sign. After a week, the available data were done statistical treatment, and carry on treatment in front and back compare and group comparison. To evaluate the blood in urine sour(UA), the blood sink(ESR), C respond egg white(CRP), joint function, comprehensive curative effect, side effects etc of these patients. ResultsTwo groups are therapeutic equivalence. The total effective rate of treament group is 93.5%, the control group is 91. 2%. After been examined by Ridit analysis (P>0. 05), the difference has not statistical significant. Thecomparison in front and back of the symptoms and physical signs' integral, except for the UA of control group, the comparison in front and back has not statistical significant (P>0.05) , other indexs, the treatment behind is better than treatment front obviously (P<0. 01) . The comparison between two groups, except for UA, the treament group has an advantage to the control group (P<0. 05) , other indexs' difference has not statistical significant between two groups (P>0. 05) .There are no case to appear side effect of treament group.The control group has 4 patients to show up stomach unwell. Cone I us i onThe effect of simiaosan jiawei combined with tongfengding capsule to cure acute gouty arthritis is not only to improve joint fuction,but also to cut down UA leval obviously. Moreover it has not any side effect. It is a safe and effective therapeutic regiment for gout. It shows greater advantage than Nimesulide.
