The chemical and Compatibility Studies on YinQiao QingFei Granule compound recipe was carried out to illustrate the affects of this compatibility to chemical compounds. The results of this paper would also provide a basis for further studies on this PR SARS compound recipe and offer methods for researches on compatibilities of TCM .Orthogonal experimental design was used to screen out the extracting process of YinQiao QingFei Granule compound recipe. Thin Layer Chromatography method was used to identify the chemical compounds extracted by different solvents in mingle decoction and the mixture of five single decoctions. HPLC method was used to determine the main components of chlorogenic acid & phillyrin in the different decoctions of this compound recipe. Fingerprints were made by HPLC method to analyze the chemical composition in the different decoctions. TLC method and HPLC method were used to study the changes within the different compound recipes.1 The condition of extracting process for YinQiao QingFei Granule compound recipe wasoptimize by orthogonal experimental design, using the content of chlorogenic acid as parameters. The optimum extracting process is extracted double with 10 times of 70% alcohol, 2.0hper time.2 The results of TLC and HPLC qualitative analysis showed that most of the maincomponents did not change obviously, These results meant that some remarkable changesoccurred in this compatibility.3 The contents of chlorogenic acid & phillyrin reduced tenuously in five herbs combinedtogether.4> The chromatogram of mingle decoction and the mixture of five single decoctions areelementary similar. The contents of chlorogenic acid decreased after five herbs combinedtogether. The contents of phillyrin was at equal in the two decoctions.5x The comparative study showed that the chemical composition of those compatibilitypatterns was different to some extent and most of the differences were quantitatively. Thequalitative changes of this compatibility need futher study.A method investigating YinQiao QingFei Granule compound recipe was established. Chemical studies proved that the content of chlorogenic acid & phillyrin in the mingle decoctions are larger than in the mixture decoction. These results would provide a basis for further studies of these PR. SARS compound recipe. Additionally, the comparative study between two compatibility patterns would offer a basis for the application of TCM formula granule. It also indicated that the techniques of TCM formula granule should be optimized to maintain or even enhance the function of traditional decoction and reduce its adverse effects. The results of this paper were expected to provide a basis for researches on herb couples and compatibilities of TCM.
