Along with the exaltation of the life level and civilized progress of mankind, the people' s healthy consciousness are changing continuously and deeply, the medical science mode also change from " biomedical science" to "biomedical - mental state- social medical science". Health not only mean no disease and slight illnesses, but physiology, mental state and the social adaptability fare-thee-well. With developing of the research of appraising the quality of life continuously, the people know more and more we should evaluate the healthy level from the angle of the individual himself.But in the realm of preserve one's health of TCM, it is short of the related evaluating system, the advantage of preserve one's health of TCM was restricted seriously.The purpose of this article is to use the form, SF-36, that have been accepted nationally to evaluate the differences after exercises both taijiquan and the other familiar sports, then we analyse their' s quality of life, discuss effectes on the middle and old aged's quality of life after taijiquan exercise.Dissertation has made a brief study about Chinese traditional health care sport and done a introduction about taijiquan in genenal, than auther has summarized the present study of quality of life and taijiquan,and consider it is feasible, necessary, and pressing to use quality of life to evaluate the person who have done taijiquan exercise. Auther took anactive investigation to three types middle and old aged' s, the first part keep doing taijiquan exercise, the second part keep doing other common sport, the third didn't keep doing any exercise.The result show that the first part get a higher points than the third part both in body health and psychology, it shows in physical functioning, Bodily pain, general health, vitality, role-emotional, and mental health, these six aspect show prominent difference.Taijiquan is a importantt part of Chinese health care medicine with profound Sinitic connotation. Practicers should relax their body and spirit, keep their heart calm, so this exercise should do more work in mental health, and this research has testified it.This research including an active investigation to see the effect about taijiquan exercise to familiar chronic of old aged. The result is that the first part informant get the lowest morbidity rate and highest mending rate in twenties kinds of familiar chronic disease.It indicate that it can prevention and cure familiar chronic disease preferably and improve quality of life if the the middle and old aged. Accordding these researches, it can draw a conclution that taijiquan exercise can promote body and mind health and welfare of life effectively, prevention and cure familiar chronic disease and promote the quality of life of the middle and old aged.At last dissertation elaborates that according to TCM, keeping fit may improve the physiological function, refreshing spirit may improve mental health, and keeping good relation may improve social adaptability. It proposes that the effect of keeping in good health of TCM should be assessed by the quality of life, regarding that its theory of TCM based on the meeting minds of Chinese and western cultures could go well to the world and benefit to human being.
