Objective: To investigate the role of emotion on peripheral bloodT lymphotype subsets and prognosis of Patients suffered fromepidemic mumps, and therefore, inqure valid nursing measures. Methods: Inpatient with epidemic mumps were randomly dividedinto two groups: intervention group and control group. Patients in bothgroups received routine treatment;the intervention group alsoreceived psychological support and relaxation training. SAS andperipheral blood T lymphocyte subtype were detected pre-andpost-treatment. The disappearance days of swelling of parotid glandand course of fever were observed. Curative effect and complicationswere also observed. Result: In ten day's treatment the result of CD4+T lymphocyteSubtypes in intervention group were higher than that of control group(P<0.05). In ten day's treatment the result of SAS of interventiongroup were lower than that of control group, there was significantdifference. In intervention group, the disappearance days of swellingof parotid gland and course of fever were lower than that of controlgroup. After 6 days treatment and intervention the number of cases incontrol group which the temperature became normal, symptoms ofentire body disappeared and the swelling of parotid gland fade away is19 (took 63%), while the intervention group is 26 (took 86.7%). Theratio of complications inintervention group was lower than that ofconrtrol group (p<0.05).Conclusion: â‘  Comprehensive nursing intervention mayalleviate the status of patient anxious. â‘¡Keeping good mood mayincrease the number of CD 4+ and strengthen the function of immunesystem, so as to improve the prognosis of patient with epidemicmumps. â‘¢Relaxation and music therapy are effective supplementarytreatment and method.
