Design And Research Of A Medical Image Teleconsultation System

Telemedicine enterprise in our country is coming into a rapid developing period with the advancement of communication, computer and information technology. Telemedicine is an innovative way to bring health care to patients in a safe and cost-effective manner. A WWW-based teleconsultation system has come true to share the medical information and to realize distant expert consultation. The teleconsultation system builds a bridge over the patients, local health care professionals and distant experts. Using the telemedicine system, difficult diseases can be diagnosed in time via the distant expert consultation.In this thesis, a medical image teleconsultation system has been designed and researched. As a kind of interactive consulting system, it uses smart client as the framework mode. First, the thesis researches and analyzes the processes and functional characteristics of the teleconsultaton, then accomplishes an object modeling for the system. Based on the object modeling, the smart client and server applications have been implemented using Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2003. Finally, the thesis discusses some technical problems, such as security considerations, deploying and updating smart clients, collaborating in consultation.
