Objective: To investigate the hospital-base incidence of endometriosis among JiNan,ShanDong during diffirent period and the risk factors and their association with endometriosis. Methods: The proportion of endometriosis in gynecological cases in recent two decades was calculated. A case_control study was carried out in Jinan including 346 cases and 346 controls. The data were sorted and ranked with Excel and analyzed with single factor analysis and multivariate unconditional logistic regression analysis among age, individnal aspects, menstrual characteristics, reproductive activity.Results:1, The incidence of endometriosis was 7.84% in 20 centry 80 era,9.17% in 20 centry 90 era and rose to 17.98% in the past five years of 21 centry. The incidence rate of endometriosis in 21 centry was significantly increased than 20 centry.2, The high rates of endometriosis is at ages 25-50.3, Single factor analysis found that (l)occupation as cadre and mechanics, college educated,(2)A and O blood types,(3)menarche before or just at age 13, (4)menstrual cycle < 27days,menstruallengths >or= 8 days, (5)dysmenorrhea,(6)one live birth,(7)abortion numbers >or= 2,(8)infertility ,(9)intrauterine device use were identified as risk factors. Compared with the both groups, all with statistical significance (P<0.05).4, Multifactor analysis confirmed that the risk factors associated withendometriosis included: (1 )early menarche, short cycles, long menstrual lengths, more abortions numbers only, (2) pregnancy number and labor number was proved to be a preventive factor. Conclusion: The incidence rate of endometriosis was significantly increased.Endometriosis seemed to be related to early menarche, short cycles, long menstrual lengths, and more abortions numbers.
