Expression Of P73, P14~(ARF) Protein In Cervical Carcinomas And Their Clinical Significance | | Posted on:2006-02-19 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:P Z He | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360182466806 | Subject:Obstetrics and gynecology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: to study the expression of p73 and p14ARF protein in cervical carcinoma and to evaluate the relationship between the expression of p73 and p14ARF and biological behavior of cervical carcinoma. Methods: The expression of p73 and p14ARF protein was detected by immunohistochemical techique in 41 cervical carcinoma tissues and 20 normal cervical tissues. The result was observed by light microscope and calculate the percentage of positive cell. Differences were analyzed by X2 test. Results: (1) In cervical carcinomas, the positive rate of p73 and p14ARF protein were 73.2%(30/41), 85.4%(35/41), respectively. In normal cervical, the positive rate of p73 and p14ARF protein were 5% and 0. There were significant statistical differences ofp73 and p14ARF protein compared with normal cervical tissues, P<0.05. (2)Overexpression of p73 protein increased with grade of neoplasms, P<0.05,but were not associated with other clinical pathology parameters, P>0.05. (3) Overexpression of p14ARF protein increased with grade of neoplasms, P<0.05,but were not associated with other clinical pathology parameters, P>0.05.(4)A positive correlation was present between p14ARF and p73 protein expressions, P<0.05.Conclusion: The change of p73 and p14ARF was related to the biological behavior of cervical. The simultaneous overexpression of p73 and p14ARF have value in diagnostic and prognosis in cervical neoplasm. These proteins maybe use as new markers of cervical neoplasm. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | p73, p14ARF, Cervix neoplasms, Immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
