There is little research on the doctor-patient relationship from the view of culture and heritage in modern time. It is helpful to know the problems of the contemporary doctor-patient relationship and set up a new-style doctor-patient relationship through shaping up, analyzing and researching the ancient doctor-patient relationship.The ancient doctor-patient relationship changes following the whirligig of time and society. The change of the doctors' status has great important effect on the doctor-patient relationship. Through analyzing the medical behaviors on the doctors and patients in different status, it can be seen that "both high, low, rich and poor are the same" only a kind of perfect condition. As a kind of complicated and multitiered human relation, the ancient doctor-patient relationship can not be summed up to be a certain pattern. It can present different patterns with the patients' social status, the requirements extent of the disease to medical service, the doctors' social status and leech craft.The ethical and moral standard has great importance to the establishment of the ancient doctor-patient relationship. But it is a precondition for the stabilization of the ancient doctor-patient relationship that the doctors realize their economic interests. It is the duty of the doctors that the patients request treatment because of disease. The doctors take all their studying to cure the disease because of the need of the occupation existent and the epitome of the self-worth. And this is the patients' wish. It is a precondition for the operating of the normal medical action that the benefits of doctors and the patients can be satisfied. And it laid the groundwork for forming a good relationship of each other.The ancient medical behaviors were completed in the surrounding of family units. Both diagnosis and treatment needed cooperation of patient's relatives. It needed effective intercommunication between doctors and patients.
