Objective :The study is to observe the plasmalevels of nitric oxide(NO),oxidized low densitylipoprotein(OX-LDL),intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) and vascular cellular molecule-1(VCAM-1) inpatients with CHD ,then to explore the changeablecorrelation and their significance among the plasmaNO,OX-LDL,ICAM-1 and VCAM-1,and to probe into theireffect in leading to the pathogeosis and development ofcoronary heart disease(CHD).Methods:The levels of OX-LDL,NO, ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 ofperipheral plasma were determined respectively by ELISAmethod and Griess method in 50 CHD patients and 20controls .The patients were divided into three groupsaccording to the International Society of CardiologyStandard:stable angina pectoris group(SAP),unstableangina pectoris group(UAP) and acute myocardialinfarction group(AMI). Then the correlation of NO,OX-LDLto ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 were analyzed. Resultes: The levels of NO were significantly lowerinCHD group than that in control group(P﹤0.05),while thelevels of OX-LDL,ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 were higher in CHDgroup than that in controls (P﹤0.05).The levels of NOin CHD patients declined with the severity of CHD. Thelevel of NO in AMI group is the lowest.Among the patientswith CHD the increases of plasma VCAM-1 and OX-LDL levelsin AMI and UAP groups were more obvious than those incontrol and SAP groups (P﹤0.01).No significantdifferences of VCAM-1 levels in SAP and control groupswere found. Correlation analysis shows that NO wasnegatively related to OX-LDL,ICAM-1 and VCAM-1.OX-LDL waspositively related to No and ICAM-1 and VCAM-1. Conclusions:The data suggests that the low level ofNO and high levels of OX-LDL,ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 areassociated with the occurrence and progression of CHD.Andthere are intrinsic correlation among these four...
