Hyperlipoproteinemia is mainly shown as the confusion oflipid metabolism and lipoprotein peroxidize. Hyperlipo-proteinemia is a cardinal risk factor that induceatherosclerosis(AS) ,coronary heart disease(CHD)and othercardiovascular diseases. Consequently, to control hyperlipo-proteinemia is the key method to prevent or treat AS and CHD.ACE is abstracted from Allium cepa L. var. agrogatum Don.by alcohol. We observed the effect of ACE on metabolism ofcholesterol and lipoprotein-cholesterol in experimentalhyperlipoproteinemia rats. Furthermore, we observed the effectof ACE on anti-oxidation and viscosity of blood ect. inexperimental hyperlipoproteinemia rats to prove if ACE isbeneficial to prevent or treat AS.The model of experimental hyperlipoproteinemia wasestablished by giving lipid-riched feeds to Wistar rats .Afterthe model is established ,respectively gave the rats differentdosage of ACE ,including 1g/kg/,2g/kg/,4g/kg.Then observed theadjusting effect of ACE on TC,TG,LDL-c,HDL-c in serum. At thesame time, measured MDA and SOD activity of serum and liver,estimated TXA2 and PGI2 of plasma. In contrast with normalcontrol group ,model control group and positive medicinegroup(lovastatin 30mg/kg),to discuss if ACE can improve theconfusion of lipid metabolism in hyperlipoproteinemia rats andprovide new evidence for clinical cure of CHD and preventing AS.When in hyperlipoproteinemia, the content of TC,TG,LDL-c,increase, on the contrary the content of HDL-c decree-se .Therefore, TC,TG,LDL-c and HDL-c can show the levelof hyperlipoproteinemia. Result demonstrate that high andmidle dosage of ACE can decrease the raised content of TC,TG,LDL-c and TC/HDL-c, rise HDL-c meanwhile.Reinforcement of lipoprotein peroxidization in Hyperlipoprote-inemia make endothelial cells damage. Peroxidized-lipidincrease and/or SOD decrease can accelerate AS. So adjusting themetabolism of lipoprotein, preventing lipoprotein peroxidi-zation is beneficial to anti-AS. The result demonstrated thatACE can decrease the content of MDA in serum and liver, obviouslyincrease the activity of SOD. These point out that ACE maybethrough increasing the activity of free radical eliminatingenzyme, preventing lipoprotein peroxidization to prevent AS.PGI2 is one of efficient vasodilator matter.It can eliminatefree radical and anti-oxidation. TXA2 and PGI2 are totallydifferent in function, they construct an balance-adjustingsystem in body. In hyperlipoproteinemia, excessive cholesterolin blood, stacked lipid in artery and redundant peroxidized-lipoprotein can destroy endothelial cells of blood vessel, whichmake the production of PGI2 decrease and TXA2 increasewhereafter cause AS.ACE can increase PGI2 and decrease TXA2 in...
