The Study On Relationship Between The Expression Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor And Endometriosis

OBSJECT : to measure the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in eutopic and ectopic endometrium and it's concentration in peripheral blood of endometriosis so as to investigate the roles it plays in the occurence and progression of endometriosis. Methods:â‘ Peripheral blood specimens were obtained from 36 cases of endometriosis and 24 cases of normal controls,concentrations of VEGF were examined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assays.â‘¡Endometrium specimens were obtained from 33 cases of endometriosis and 20 cases normal controls . the expression VEGF were measured by immunohisto-chemical technique.â‘¢Endometrium specimens were obtained from 33 cases of endometriosis and 26 cases of normal controls . the expression VEGF were measured by immunohistochemical technique. Results:â‘ the level of VEGF in endometriosis group before surgery was significantly higher than the mean value in the control group(P<0.05); the level of VEGF in endometriosis group before surgery was significantly higher than that after surgery (P<0.05)and there was obviously different between stage I-II and stage III-â…£(P<0.05).â‘¡the expression of VEGF in eutopic endometrium of EM was significantly higher than that of normal endometrium. (P<0.05),but the expression of VEGF in ectopic endometrium of ovarian EM was higher than that of normanl endometrium. (P<0.05) . there were obviously different between secretory phase and prolifenative phase in the group of eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium.(P<0.05). eutopic endometrium of women with endometriosis both in the proliferative phase and secretoiy phase expressed higher level VEGF than that in control group(P<0.01).â‘¢Among endometriotic lesions, ovarian endometrioma expressed lower level VEGFmRNA than Eutopic endometrium of women with endometriosis( P<0.05) , but both had higher level of VEGFmRNA expression than women without endometriosis (P<0.05). between women with or without endometriosis, the expression of VEGFmRNA of eutopic endometrium in the secretoiy phase was significantly higher than that in the proliferative phase(P<0.05). eutopic endometrium of women with endometriosis both in the proliferative phase and secretoiy phase expressed higher level VEGFmRNA than that in control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: â‘ The expression of VEGF is adjusted by female'hormone.â‘¡VEGF is a very important factor that may contribute to the pathegenesis of endometriosis by promoting neovascularization,explanting of ectopic endometrium , increasing activity of angiopoiesis in eutopic endometriumâ‘¢VEGF is a efficient organism maker to reflect invading growth, prognosis and metastasis potency of EMs.â‘£VEGF may paly an important role in both pathogenesis and progress of endometriosis.
