| The study is to evaluate the clinical efficiency of kechuandan for the treatment of patients with cold asthma. Methods: All 200 patients with cold asthma were randomly divided into two groups, treatment group and control group., kechuandan was given to the treatment group, while chuanshu-pill was given to the control group. Results: kechuandan was more effective than chuanshu-pill in the treatment of patient with cold asthma.(p<0.05). In the treatment group, 102 patients with cold asthma treated by kechuandan achieved total effeciency respectively in dispelling phlegm and arresting cough.. Compared with patients treated in the control group, it shows a significant difference in clinical efficiency. Clinical research and experiment show that kechuandan play an important role in regulating inflammatory mediator such as TXB2 and 6-K-PGF1 amd improving immunity. After receiving remedy,significantly elavated Ig level was detected in treatment group while there was no change in the control group. Conclusions: The results show that treating patients with kechuandan can improve clinical efficiency, which proves to be more practical and valuable. It is proved that kechuandan can effectively improve immunity and pulmonary circulation, ameliorate the airway hyperesponsiveness and inhibit the airway recombinative repair, meanwhile it plays a role in regulating related mediators, increasing supply of blood and oxygen .The study indicated that kechuandan had better effect for the treatment of patients with cold asthma. It did not show any side effect. So kechuandan is effect new and safe oral drug in treating bronchoasthma.
