The Influence Of Acupuncture On Rising The Curative Effect For Meige Syndrome

Meige syndrome is an idiopathic dystonic disorder consisting of blepharospasm-oromandilular dystonia, Occasionally, the dystonia may spread beyond the face and also involve the neck, tongue or extremity. The causes of this syndrome are not well-known. So, there is not a good method to treat Meige syndrome absolutely. According to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine,we treat this disease with acupuncture and medicine,to find out a new way to improve the curative effect of treating Meige syndrome.Methods Thirty cases of Meige syndrome patients will be devided into two groups randomly.We will give routine and basic therapy to the patient in one group(control group),and add acupuncture therapy into the above therapy in the other one(treatment group).Observe the differences of extent of muscle spasm and side effect between pre-treatment and post-treatment.Then analyze the results statistically.At last,evaluate the therapeutic effect.
