Objective:To study the relationship between fungal immunology and nasal polys by detection of total and fungal special IgE serum level. Methods: Experimental group included 30 patients with nasal polys and control group included 30 patients with chronic rhinitis or deviation of nasal septum of same period. Serum concentration of total immunoglobulin E (tIgE) and fungal special immunoglobulin E ( sIgE) (aspergillus fumigatus m3,candida albicans m5,rhizopus nigricane m11) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)from Sweden pharmacia CAP system ,and the results were analysed by statistics method. Results: The result of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) showed that one patient was class I of m11(rhizopus nigricane)and one patient was class I and one patient was class III of m3 (aspergillus fumigatus) and two patients were class II of m5 (candida albicans) and there were fourteen patients whose serum concentration of total immunoglobulin E ( tIgE) were more than 100 Ku/ L in the experimental group and that one patient was class I of m5 (candida albicans) and there were three patients whose serum concentration of total immunoglobulin E (tIgE) were more than 100 Ku/ L in the control group. Serum concentration of total immunoglobulin E ( tIgE) in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group and there was statistics difference by student-t test, Serum concentration of fungal special imrnunogiobuiin E (sIgE) (aspergillus fumigatus, m3, Candida albicans, m5, rhizopus nigricane, m11) in the experimental group was not as high as that in the control group and there was not statistics difference by student-t test. Conclusions: Serum concentration of total immunoglobulin E( tIgE) of patients with nasal polys who had not clinical menifetation of allergic fungal...
