Postsurgical gastroparesis syndrome (PGS) is a common disease that superimposed on abdominal surgery. The incidence is on the increase year after year. Usually they are lingering. But expectant treatments for PGS are applicated, most of them should be healed. PGS pertains to thoracic fullness or Vomit in TCM, they are asthemia in origin and sthemia in superficiality. Professor Cai Bingqin considers the treatment mainly concentrate on the triplex method (Decoction of Four drug Juice, Needling Zusanli, External Therapy with Fructus Evodiae and salt). In the study, we attempt to offer theoretical evidence for the triplex method on the disease in many ways and angles. It is just based on the study that we should more properly evaluate the clinical efficacy and popularize them further.Design: A retrospective clinical trial was conducted to make a comparison between the efficacy of monotherapy with Western Medicine and that of integrated therapy with traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of patients with PGS. 24 in-patients with clinical diagnoses of PGS attending the study. We drew up a rational scale and observation item. In all patients, the following parameters were obtained through investigation, the mean of gastric juice drainage dose, the time of gastroenteritic dynamia convalescence, the days of in-patient, preoperative constitutions and modus operandi. Then counted the data collected and analysed them with professional knowledge.Results: In Group integrated therapy with traditional Chinese and Western medicine and Group monotherapy with Western Medicine, separately, the time of gastroenteritic dynamia convalescence is 16.69 ± 2.63 days and 23. 00 ± 4.38 days;the mean of gastric juice drainage dose is 687. 95 ± 52. 84ml and 1005.66...
