| Background:Eczema is a kind of allergic dermatitis, which its acute phase is associated with erythema and edema. It is a chronic process with serious itching and has bad influences on the patient' s life. The incidence of eczema in Guangzhou and Hong Kong is higher than other cities in China and its prevalence appears to be rising.The pathogen of eczema is not so clear and its pathogenesis is very complex, it is commonly considered as allergic reaction of delayed type caused by factors of interior and exterior. There' s no ideal method to cure eczema up to now, preventions is very important. To find the related inducements is principally. The information of related factors of pathogen and the work of eczema' s prevention is far from enough. On the other hand, the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine has a good effect on eczema, but the sign and syndrome of eczema is complex and subjective, lead to difficulties of investigation of eczema in a sense. So this kind of investigation should be emphasized.Objective:Investigate the related factors of pathogen of eczema, and give the guidance of how to avoid recrudescence according to its related factors. Collect the symptoms of different patients, explore the distribution of TCM syndromes in different stages of eczema.Method:(1) Design a questionnaire: Through reviewing literatures, consulting experts and doing surveys beforehand, questionnaire which includes related factors of eczema and TCM syndrome is designed.(2) Questionnaire investigation: Carry out a standard questionnaire investigation about its related factors of pathogen and the sign and syndrome of 126 eczema patients, fill in the questionnaire and give the guidance of how to avoid recrudescence.(3) Statistical analysis: Do the statistical analysis to explore the related factors of pathogen and the distribution of TCM syndromes in different stages of eczema.Result:Part one: The investigation of related factors of pathogen and preventioneducation on 126 eczema patientsThe related factors of pathogen of eczema mainly include:(1) Emotional factor: There is 36.5 % patients of eczema which has emotional change in two weeks before illness, and 45.2% of patients are easy to be nervous, anxious and humorsome. Patients of atopic dermatitis are more serious. (P<0. 05)(2) Infection factor: The frequency of infection occurs before and during the illness is 34.9% and 46. 8%. Besides the skin infection, respiratory> intestinal infection is worth further investigating.(3) Heredity factor: The tendency of patients of eczema is likely to inherit. The rate of eczema patients whose direct relatives has allergic diseases is 38.1%. And the rate of eczema patients who has allergic rhinitis^ asthma or urticacia is 24.1%, 6.3%, 8. 9%.(4) Food: Patients of eczema considered once or more allergic foods clearly exacerbate symptoms in 50.8% individuals. The sorts of allergic foods include: Seafood, meat, wire, fruit and so on.Eczema patients of 91. 2% want to know the knowledge about related factors and prevention education, consider it is far from enough.
