[Objective] This study is done to observe the clinical curative effect on the stroke patients at its acute stage and evaluate its clinical application.[Methods] The study is designed as a randomized controlled trial. 55 subjects are enrolled and divided into trial group (n=28) and controlled group (n=27). The patients of the trial group take chong product drugs of scolopendra, centipede, pheretima and accept the same therapy of modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine of selection of treatment according to differential diagnosis as the controlled group. The observing time is one week. We investigate their clinical syndromes and the scores of nervous function defect after a week.[Results] For the nervous function defect, the scores of the two groups are both declined and there is significant difference (P<0.05) between the two groups. It shows the two groups are useful and the trial group is better than the controlled group. For the clinical curative effect, there is significant difference (P<0. 05) between the two groups. It shows the trial group is better than the controlled group also.[Conclusion] Freeing the network vessels can enhance the clinical syndromes and decline the score of nervous function defect on the stroke patients at its acute stage. So it can be widely used in the clinical care.
