Probing Into The Diagnostic Significance Of CystatinC On Early Damage Of Diabetic Nephropathy

Obiective To probe into the significance and feasibility of GFR evaluated by determing CystatinC in serum, in order to provide a new and sensitive clinical determing method for patient who catch diabetic nephropathy (DN). Method Collected serum CystatinC of normal man and patient whose kidney damage had been confirmed either clinically or laboratorily was measured by ELISA.. Adopting cockcroft-cault, the creatinine clearance was calculated while the serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen andβ₂-microglobulie had been determined. sixty-seven examples were divided randomly into four groups. There were twenty-three in normal renal function (A)group, fifteen in compensatory renal in suffilioncy (B)group, fifteen in incompensatory renal incufficiency(C)group, and fourteen in renal failure(D)group. The serum CystatinC concentration was analyzed in correlation to Bun , β₂-MG respectively, while CystatinC, BUN andβ₂MG were analyzed in correlation to Ccr. Result There were a positive correlations and obvious significance between the levels of CystatinC and BUN(r=0.892,p<0.01),β₂-MG (r=0.922,P<0.01),There were a negative correlations and obvious significance between Ccr and CystatinC (r= -0.923,p<0.01),BUN(r= -0.869,p<0.01), β₂-MG(r= -0.913,p< 0.01)。 Conclusion 1. CystatinC could be used as an ideal index evaluated GFR.2. CystatinC was more sensitive than BUN,β₂-MG, Had they been used to evaluate GFR. 3.
