Objectives ⑴To investigate the expression of bcl-2,bax and c-myc in different tissue from women with and without endometriosis in order to explore the role of bcl-2,bax and c-myc in endometriosis and provide a theoretical basis for clinical diagnoses and theragy. ⑵We analysised expression of sICAM-1 in sera and Peritoneal Fluid and ICAM-1 in tissue from women with and without endometriosis in order to explore the roal of sICAM-1 and ICAM-1 in endometriosis and provide a new way for clinical diagnoses and treatment. Methods We collected Serum,Peritoneal Fluid,ectopic endometrial tissue and endometrial tissue from women with and without endometriosis . Cellular localization and expression bcl-2,bax and ICAM-1were determined by immunohistochemistry. Expression of c-myc gene was evaluated by in situ hybridization.Apoptosis-rate was studied with TUNEL. The level of sICAM-1 was measured by ELISA. Resullts ⑴The expression of bcl-2 in ectopic endometrium with EM was significantly increased compared with eutopic with and without EM. (P<0.05,P<0.01);The expression of bcl-2 in eutopic endometrium stage Ⅰ,Ⅱwas significantly decreased than that in stage Ⅲ,Ⅳ(P<0.05).The rate of bcl-2/bax in ectopic endometrium was especially higher than that eutopic without EM(P<0.05). ⑵Ectopic endometrosis expressed higher level of c-myc than endometrium from normal women;there was no deffeience of c-myc between ectopic and eutopic endometrosis. There were significantly positive correlation between expression of bcl-2 and c-myc both in ectopic endometrium and in endometrium without EM. ⑶The apoptosis-rate was significantly decreased between ectopic endometrium with(3.56±1.35)% and eutopic endometrium with (6.94±1.24)%, normal endometrium(11.60±1.34)%. ⑷The level of sICAM-1 in sera and Peritoneal Fluid of patients with EM was significantly higher than that in controls(P<0.05); The level of sICAM-1 in sera in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱwas significantly decreased than that in stage Ⅲ,Ⅳ(P<0.05).The expression of ICAM-1 in ectopic endometrium with EM was significantly increased compared with eutopic with and without EM(P<0.05). Conclusion ⑴In patients with endometriosis, the apoptosis and ICAM-1 expression were related to the development of endometriosis. ⑵There was significantly positive correlation between the level of SICAM-1 in sera and stage of EM. It would be a new target in immunology to clinical diagnoses and treatment.
