With further reform in medical system, seeking medical advice and treatment have been radically changed and the competition of medical market has been intensified. If a hospital wants to be in an impregnable position, it should further enhance medical quality management, improve the quality of medical service, reduce hospitalization expenses, shorten hospitalization period and make more patients feel satisfied.This research topic makes a systematic study of clinical pathway of hyperthyroidism in design, administration, management and effect by using the advanced experiences of studying and applying clinical pathway to medical qualitymanagement in hospital for reference. The aim of the research is to seek a method of using clinical pathway which tallies with the actual situation in China.In the research, epidemiology method was used to design clinical pathway and statistics method was used to survey literature and collect data. Meanwhile, PDCA (plan.do.check.action) method and quality standardization method were used to make a scientific design of the hospitalization time, administration range and content in diagnosis and treatment in clinical pathway, which was the first to be applied to internal diseases in our country. After a certain period ( one year) of clinical application, its effect was analyzed and evaluated.The results of the research showed that clinical pathway, an advanced model of medical quality management, had distinct effect on reducing hospitalization expenses, shortening average hospitalization period, standardizing diagnosis and treatment, and making more patients satisfied in the medical quality management of hospital.
