Experimental investigation on effect of electroacupuncture of MatrixMetalloproteinases and brain-derived neurotrophic factor in ICH ratsObjective To study the effect of electroacupuncture of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 on the injury of the vascular wall and brain-derived neurotrophic factor in rats' blood intracerebral hemorrhage and the possible functional pathways.Methods 80 Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups at random: normal group, physiological saline group, model group, and electroacupuncture group. 0.8ul Collagense VII were used to induce caudal-putamen hemorrhage in rats, which is behind front-fontane 1.0mm, right 4.0mm, deep 5.0mm. "Shuigou" was electroacupured in 30min. To observe and valuate the nerve missing sign of model group rats and the diference of MMP-2, TIMP-2 and BDNF after 3days.Results (1) The expression of MMP-2 in the hemorrhagic region were much higher in the hemonhage group than in contralateral areas and electroacupuncture group rats, while no expression was found in the control group(P<0.01). Meantime, there is clearly diference on the expression of TIMP-2 between model group and electroacupuncture group(P<0.01) (2) Through needling "Shuigou" which could increase clearly the level of BDNF. As compared to the model group,it shows the contents and the number differently increased (P<0.01).Conclusion It proved that the over-expressions of MMP-2 is associated with the injury and hemorrhage of hemorrhage-prone cerebrovascular wall, but TIMP-2 can prevent and alleviate the incidence of intracerebral hemorrhage, meantime, BDNF join the damage and renovate of never cell after ICH in rats and electroacupuncture can improve the level on the expression of BDNF, which indicate electroacupuncture can play in the role, which product clearly the effection of brain-protection.
