Objective : To evaluate clinical healing effects of the rehabilitation of early pains from stroke shoulder-hand syndrome with TCM and Western medicine by observing the patient' s upper limb pains and tender , functions, ROM of shoulder,effects of ADL scores and the scores of survial quality. Method: 80 patients are randomly classified into 2 groups. The control group is composed of 37 patients and given conventional treatment and rehabilitation. The TCM group is made up of 43 patients and given fumigating and washing of TCM besides above treatment. Respectively before and six month after treatment in the 2 groups, the upper limb pains and tender, functions, ROM of shoulder , scores of ADL and the scores of survial quality are evaluated, and the result is statistically treated. Result: Before treatment there is no obvious difference in such as the upper limb pains and tender, ROM of shoulder , the scores of ADL and the scores of survial qual ity (P>0.05). After treatment there is obvious difference concerning the above-mentioned targets besides the limb fundions (P<0.05) and the targets of the TCM group is noticeably preferable to those of the control group. Conclusion: The healing effect of the rehabilitation and treatment of early pains from stroke shoulder-hand syndrome based on TCM and Western medicine is remarkable.
