Atractylodis macrocephala Koidz. is the stolon of plant atractylodis. The earlist processing technology was "cook in water" in Tang dynasty. There are many other processing methods for Atractylodis macrocephala Koidz., such as steam, stir-fried with earth, stir-fried with wheat bran, etc. But stir-fried with wheat bran is its maily processing technology, so orthogonal table are decided with four effects: tempreture ,frying time, quantity of wheat bran, thickness of the crud drug. According to the amount of Atractylolide I , Atractylolide III , Atractylodes and volatile oil, Othogonal Design is applied to investigation on the technology of processing Rhizoma Atractylodes stir-fried with wheat bran. This method is scientif icial and reliable for industry product. It supply foundation for quality control of Atractylodes.
