| Objective: In order to find the mechanism of Xushaohuo decoction, we made the experimental research and clinical research. In the experimental research, we observed the preventive and curative effect of Xushaohuo decoction on rats with coronary heart disease from blood lipid, anti-oxidation and vascular endothelial function aspects, compared with Gualou xiebai banxia decoction and Isosorbide tablet. In the clinical research, we observed the curative effect of Xushaohuo decoction on patients with "phlegm tangling with stasis syndrome" in stable angina pectoris, from the aspects of blood lipid, electrocardiogram and symptoms.MethodsThe part of experimental research: Research of Xushaohuo decoction on anti-oxidation in rats with coronary heart disease.According to the documents, we made the model of "phlegm tangling with stasis syndrome" by raising rats with hyper-lipid diet and injecting posterior pituitary. 50 SD rats were divided into 5 groups at random, which were normal group (abbreviated to "N group" in the following), model group (abbreviated to" M group" in the following), Xushaohuo decoction group (abbreviated to "X group" in the following), Gualou xiebai banxia decoction (abbreviated to "G group" in the following), Isosorbide group (abbreviated to" I group" in the following). There were 10 rats in each group. Except N group, the other 4 groups were raised by hyper-lipid diet for 20 days. From the eleventh day, every treatment groups was filled medicine: X group was filled Xushaohuo decoction by 8g/kg/d; G group was filled Gualou xiebai banxia decoction by 3 g/kg/d, I group was filled Isosorbide by 25mg/kg/d. N group and M group were filled physiological saline. During the research, we observed the activities, diet, skin, fur, weight and so on. On the twentieth day, all the rats were prohibited to eat anything after taking the last medicine. 6 hours later, all the rats were anaesthetized and fasted on their backs. N group was injected the physiological saline. The other 4 groups were injected the posterior pituitary. The rats were cut heads 6 hours later. We collected the blood and separated the serum and plasm, then detected blood lipid, SOD, MDA, NO, ET, TNF and CPK.The part of Clinical research: The clinical research of Xus- haohuo decoction in adjusting blood lipid and preventing myo- cardial ischemia.The patients of" phlegm tangling with stasis syndrome" in stable angina pectoris were divided into two groups randomly and single-blindly. One was the treatment group, the other was the controlled group. The patients in the treatment group were treated with Xushaohuo decoction, 2 times/1 dose/d; the patients in controlled group were treated with Tongxinluo capsule, 4 grains each time, 3/d. One treatment course was one month. The research lasted two months. During the observation, the patients could take sublingual nitroglycerin at the onset of acute angina attack. We should record the outbreak of angina pectoris, blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, etc. Before and after the treatment, we test the electrocardiogram and blood lipid.Results1 The effect of Xushaohuo decoction on the conditions of ratsDuring the experiment, the weight of rats in every group increased continually. The furs of the rats in M group with dark purple tongue were in disorder obviously. The activities of rats in M group decreased. The conditions of rats in M group were more serious than every treatment group.2 The effect of Xushaohuo decoction on blood lipid2.1 The effect of Xushaohuo decoction on serum TC, TG The serum TC, TG content of M group (4.52±0.86,0.56±0.13) was higher than that of N group (1.91±0.13,0.24±0.12) (P<0.01). The serum TC, TG of X, G, I group (3.61±1.20,0.26±0.14) (3.33±1.06,0.38±0.12) (3.91±0.94,0.35±0.13)was lower than that of M group (P<0.01). There were no statistical difference between X group and N group (P>0.05).
