A Study On The Epidemiology Of Caries, Periodontal Healthy Status And Dental Fluorosis Aged 5, 12 And 15 In Anhui Province

Objective A study on the epidemiology of caries and Periodontal healthy status aged 5,12 and 15 in Anhui province be held in 1999-2000. The purpose of this survey is to investigate prevalence of dental disease and the needs of dental treatment, so as to develop effective programs in providing dental care in the children.Method No-proportional stratified cluster sampling.Result The results showed that x dmft of primary tooth in 5yr group was 3.06 + 3.6 0 , primary caries prevalence rate was 65.73%, lower than that of same age of other 11 province in mainland(4.48 and 76.55%).the competitive ratio of dmft was 93.14% (d), 2.29%(m),2.61%(f)(respectively).the caries number that need dental care were 6210 teeth(2.68teeth per person), the X DMFT of permanent tooth inl2yr and 15yr group was 0.58+ 1.11 and 0.95 + 1.70, permanent caries prevalence rate was30.78% and39.78%, lower than that of same age of other 11 province in mainland ( P< 0.001 ) , the competitive ratio of DMFT was 90.51%(D), 2.48%(M) 7.52%(F)(respectively) and 86.78%(P) 4.30%(M) 9.055%(F) (respectively).the caries number that need dental care were 1842 teeth(0.78teeth per person) in 12yr.the number of individuals of periodontal healthy was 45.96%(rural),55.30%(city) in 15yr group.Conclusion The primary and permanent caries prevalence rate were lower than the other 11 province in mainland in 5yr,12yr and 15yr group.The "D" and "F " were lower than same age of other 11 province in mainland and the "M"was higher.
