Objective To study the anti - tumor effects and efficacy enhancing and toxicity reducing of polysaccharides compounds (PSC) by chemotherapy in mice. Methods: We have examined the activity of lymphocyte and studied the component and dose of PSC with MTT. Mice bearing in vivo transplanted tumor were also used to evaluate the effect of PSC. It was observed the protective effect of blood system and genetic damage. Applying ELISA to observe the change of IL-2 and tumor suppressor gene P27 to explore the mechanism of action .Electron microscope was applied to observe the morphological changes, results: The appropriate the component and dose of PSC have the effects to enhangce immune function and can inhibite the gowth of S180 sarcoma.PSC not only can enhangce the anti - tunour effects but also can antagonize or/and repair the genetic damage induced by cyclophosmide. The mechanism of action is related to anti-thrombosis formation and inhibit cell apoptosis. Conclusion: PSC have the anti - tumor effect and efficacy enhancing and toxicity reducing by chemotherapy in mice. Significance: Our study may contribute to the development of new anti - tumor drug.
