To observe the clinical effect of treating lumbar disc herniation with the method of taking orally JTXII capsule and YAOTONGNING capsule by the ways of multi-center, large-sample and single-blindness. Furthermore compare two methods on their practicability and scientism.Lumbar disc herniation is common disease and frequently occurring disease of orthopaedist. At president, most all of scholars think non-operation treatment is the first-selected in treating lumbar disc herniation. Treatment method of taking traditoaal Chinese medicine by mouth is one of most important treatment method among non-operation treatment. Now every doctor has different knowledge about lumbar disc herniation, so that they have their own prescriptions and the ingredients of recipe are not same. Accounts about their treatment result are scattered and wanting, especially the statistical treatment results about multi-center and large-sample cases.This report uses JTXII capsule to treat lumbar disc herniation that is crystallization of Professor Deng Fu Shu who has many years' clinical experiences of treating lumbar disc herniation. Large cases from three observement units were divided randomly into treatment group and contrast group and were given repective drug which was not known by the patient. Two groups' observational indexes were established together including reducibility level of lumbago and leg pain, improvable level of clinical sign, the global result of treatment. These indexes were estimated. Moreover, treatment mechanism and pharmacology of JTXII were studied exploringly.By observing clinical curative effect, indexes from JTXII aresuperior to those from YAO TONG NING capsule, which include reducibility level of lumbago and leg pain, improvable level of clinical sign, the global result of treatment. By studying and analysing the treatment mechanism and pharmacology of JTXâ…¡, we think those drugs which form JTXâ…¡ match well, can supply and canal qi, make blood and water move.In short, JTXâ…¡ is easy to eat, has better treatment result, is safe to eat and convenient to spread. Those benefits were farther proved from the angle of multi-center, large-sample and single-blindness.
