The level of HYP in the serum and urine is detected in the chronic bronchitis patients ( acute exacerbating period) and control groups. The aim is to research the action of HYP in the evolution of chronic bronchitis (include ;the relation between severity grade of state phase of illness and HYP; the role of HYP in the mechanism of the chronic bronchitis; evaluating the effect of interfering and therapy) ; The relation of index of smoking and level of HYP in the serum and urine is studied, and relativity of extent of smoking and content of HYP in the serum and urine is researched for the first time.MethodsThe cases enrolled are to the exclusion of some factors ( for instance: der-matoses connective tissue diseases hyperthyroidism diabetes bone diseases or hormone administration hepatic and renal insufficiency fasting the food abounding with HYP about 24 hours before the collection specimens). The cases enrolled are set off four groups: chronic bronchitis ( acute exacerbation, as A group; and remission period, as B group) and pneumonia (as C group) of hos-pitalization in the same period healthy individual(as D group). Related examinations are consummated ( such as; radiation checking blood gas analyzing Jung function examination in part of patients et al). The specimens (veinal blood and urine) are collected before taking food in the morning, and then are cenrrif-ugaled. The serum is conserved in - 30C. The levels of HYP of blood and u-rine were detected by the method of digestion ( according to directions of HYP). The statistics of index of smoking (the multiply of years of smoking and branches of taking every day) is done in all the groups. A group and C group was dividedinto two groups respectively(according to the index of smoking: >300 pack -years group and < 300 pack - years group). Statistical analysis is used by means of SPSS 10.0 database package. Variance analysis is used among groups, and the average value is compared using T test.Results1. There is not remarkable difference to ages among A B C groups(P > 0. 05 ) ; and there is remarkable difference when these groups is compared D group (P <0. 01 ). This may attribute to that all the cases of D group are the blood donors and the ages are young.2. The results of comparison of HYP values in the serum and urine shows: A group all exceeds B group (P <0. 05) and all exceeds obviously C D group (P <0.01) , B group all exceeds C group (P <0. 05) and all exceeds obviously D group (P <0. 01) ,C group all exceeds D group (P <0. 05).3. In the group of chronic bronchitis, compared to the patients of the group of index of smoking < 300 pack - years, the HYP values of the serum and urine in the group of index of smoking> 300 pack - years roses up(P <0. 05) ;In the group of pneumonia, compared to the patients of the group of index of smoking< 300 pack - years, the HYP values of the serum and urine in the group of index of smoking > 300 pack - years roses up ( P < 0. 05 ) not different ( P > 0. 05) ;In the group of index of smoking>300 pack - years, the level of the HYP of the chronic bronchitis patients in the serum and urine all exceed its of pneumonia patients (P < 0. 01) ; In the group of index of smoking < 300 pack -years, the comparison of the level of the HYP in the serum and urine between the chronic bronchitis and pneumonia patients has not remarkable difference ( P>0.05).4. The trend of variety to the HYP value in the serum and urine is parallel on the whole.Conclusion1. The level of the HYP in the serum and urine can reflect the rate of collagen degradation, and yet indirectly reflect the extent of alveolus wall lesion.2. The detection of the HYP in the serum and urine can be used as a sensitive biological marker of judging of lung collagen catabolism, and of identifying subjects at risk of developing emphysema, and to assess the efficacy of interventions.3. The level of the HYP in the serum and urine can reflect the change of state of an illness to some extent, and indirectly acquaint chronic br...
